kai means ocean, lani means sky.

001 · The Name Meaning

Kailani is made of two Hawaiian words: kai, the ocean, and lani, the sky. Together they name the horizon, the line where one becomes the other, and from up here that line is all you see.

Kailani sits highest on the dune, above the palms, where the horizon runs unbroken in every direction and there is as much sky as there is water. A double and ensuite with an adjoining twin or double upstairs, a third ensuite bedroom below, a central living room, and a private infinity pool that seems to end where the ocean begins.
